COMPARISON

Fitaily vs Strava: activity, community and diary

Strava is an activity and community platform. Fitaily records training but adds nutrition and a strength log. They are not replacements — they cover different scopes.

SHORT ANSWER

Does Fitaily replace Strava?

Strava is activity, segments, competition and community. Strava's public materials do not describe a meal diary or calorie counting — it is a different product category.

Fitaily records running and cardio, keeps a strength log with sets and weight, and next to that a meal diary and progress analysis. For community and segments, Strava remains stronger.

COMPETITOR

Where Strava is strong

  • Segments, leaderboards and local competition.
  • Community: following friends, kudos, comments and clubs.
  • Integrations with almost every watch and bike computer.
  • Activity analysis and route history with a map.

This is Strava's strongest area and Fitaily does not replace it.

FITAILY

What Fitaily adds

Fitaily records GPS activities but has no segments or leaderboards — a deliberate difference in scope. Instead, next to training it keeps a meal diary, strength training with sets and weight, measurements and progress analysis.

The two apps can work together: Fitaily imports activities from Strava and uploads strength workouts to it, so you do not have to give up the community.

Strava sync is not fully bidirectional for every data type.
