Selected data can be saved without a connection and Fitaily syncs it later. Below we clearly separate what works offline from what needs the internet.

How does offline storage work?
Fitaily stores supported data locally on the device and syncs it with the server when connectivity returns. It protects the freshest local changes so they are not overwritten.

What can you do without internet?

- Delete entries locally (without them coming back after sync)

What needs an internet connection?
- New cloud AI analyses, including photo analysis
- Recipe import from links
- Features that rely on server services
An offline diary does not mean every AI feature works offline. New cloud AI requests are not queued — they need a connection.
Does on-device AI work offline?
Tasks run by the local model can work without a connection when the device meets the requirements and the model is available. This does not apply to photo analysis, which uses the cloud.
How does syncing work?
When connectivity returns, Fitaily uploads local changes and merges them with server data. Deletions are respected and fresh local changes take priority.
