Fitaily MCP. Your AI assistant, your Fitaily data
Ask your AI assistant what you already track in Fitaily: how much you ate today, how much water you drank, how your recent workouts looked and how your progress is going. The same server URL works with ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients.
A server that connects your assistant to your data
HOW IT WORKS
Fitaily MCP is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://mcp.fitaily.com/mcp. You add it once in your AI assistant, and it gains read access — and, if you choose, write access — to your Fitaily data.
Data is fetched through the existing Fitaily API with your own token. The MCP server does not store it: it passes requests between the assistant and your account.
- Diary, calories and macros from recent days
- Hydration, trainings and strength plans
- Body measurements, goals and progress
- Recipe base and food search
No extra Fitaily subscription
FREE FOR EVERYONE
Fitaily MCP is free on every account, including the standard plan. It needs no Premium and no separate fee.
The assistant's own plan is a different matter: some of its features depend on its offer, not on Fitaily.
The only possible extra cost is your assistant's plan — for example, some ChatGPT custom connector features are Business/Enterprise, and individual plans may be limited. Fitaily MCP adds nothing on top of your Fitaily plan.
Which tools the assistant gets
WHAT IT CAN DO
The assistant gets a set of read tools and — after your confirmation — write tools. We do not list every technical name here; the scope is what matters.
- Read: meals, calories, macros and diary history
- Read: hydration, trainings, strength plans, measurements and goals
- Read: recipes with macro filters, favorites, ratings and the tag catalog
- Read: diet plans, period stats and strength records
- Write after confirmation: meal, water, activity, shopping list, fridge
- Write after confirmation: measurement, goal, recipe, training plan, diet plan
Every write happens only after you confirm it in the chat. The assistant does not change data on its own.
You decide what the assistant sees and changes
ACCESS CONTROL
During authorization you pick a scope: read-only, or read and write. That choice applies to the given assistant until you change or revoke it.
You can revoke access at any time in the app: Settings → AI Integrations. Revoking invalidates the assistant's token.
- Read-only — the assistant sees data but changes nothing
- Read and write — additionally writes after confirmation
- A separate token for each connected assistant
- Revoking access takes effect immediately
How to connect Fitaily
SETUP
The server URL is always the same: https://mcp.fitaily.com/mcp. Setup comes down to pasting it in the client, signing in to Fitaily via OAuth and approving the access scope.
Below you will find the steps for the most common clients. Each one is three or four short actions.
Where to configure the MCP server| Client | Where |
|---|
| ChatGPT | chatgpt.com/plugins (in the browser) |
|---|
| Claude | claude.ai/customize/connectors (in the browser) |
|---|
| Others (OpenCode, Perplexity, Cursor…) | The MCP settings in that client |
|---|
| Server URL | https://mcp.fitaily.com/mcp |
|---|
ChatGPT
CLIENT 1
You add the connector in the browser — not in the mobile app.
- Open https://chatgpt.com/plugins and add a custom MCP connector.
- Paste the server URL: https://mcp.fitaily.com/mcp.
- Sign in to Fitaily and approve the access scope (read-only or read and write).
Full custom connectors depend on your ChatGPT plan — some features are Business/Enterprise, and individual plans may be limited.
Claude
CLIENT 2
You add the connector in the browser — not in the mobile app.
- Open https://claude.ai/customize/connectors and choose to add a custom connector.
- Paste the server URL: https://mcp.fitaily.com/mcp.
- Sign in to Fitaily via OAuth and approve the access scope.
Other assistants and MCP clients
CLIENT 3
Fitaily is not limited to ChatGPT and Claude. Any client that supports remote MCP over Streamable HTTP and OAuth connects with the same URL.
- OpenCode
- Perplexity
- Cursor
- VS Code / GitHub Copilot
- Windsurf / Devin Desktop
- Mistral Vibe
- Other MCP-compatible clients
- In the client's settings, find the section for adding a remote MCP server.
- Paste https://mcp.fitaily.com/mcp and choose the Streamable HTTP transport.
- Sign in to Fitaily via OAuth and approve the access scope.
iOS app: Settings → AI Integrations
IN-APP PATH
The “AI Integrations” screen in the Fitaily app shows whether ChatGPT and Claude are connected, and lets you copy the server URL to the clipboard before opening the assistant's connector page.
Important: you must add the connector itself in the assistant's web UI. Neither ChatGPT nor Claude lets you add a server from its mobile app — that is why it is convenient to copy the URL from Fitaily and continue in the browser.
- In the app, open Settings → AI Integrations.
- Copy the server URL to the clipboard with the copy button.
- Use the button to open your assistant's connector page in the browser and paste the URL.
- Return to the app — the “connected” status appears once you approve access in the assistant.
Safety and privacy
PRIVACY & SAFETY
Authorization uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. The assistant never sees your password, and the token it receives is limited to the scope you chose.
The MCP server fetches data through the existing Fitaily API with your token and does not store it. The backend still validates every request on its own side — exactly as it does for the app.
- OAuth 2.1 with PKCE
- Scoped tokens (read-only or read and write)
- Revoke access at any time
- The server does not store user data
- The backend validates every request independently
Frequently asked questions
Is Fitaily MCP free?
Yes. It is free on every Fitaily account, including the standard plan, and needs no extra subscription. A separate fee may only apply to your assistant's own plan, such as ChatGPT.
Does it work in the assistant's mobile app?
No. You add the server in the assistant's web UI, because neither ChatGPT nor Claude lets you add it from its mobile app. The Fitaily app helps you copy the URL and open the right page in the browser.
What exactly does the assistant see?
Only what you grant access to: diary, calories and macros, hydration, trainings, plans, measurements, goals and recipes. Data is fetched through the Fitaily API with your token.
Can the assistant change my data?
Only if you choose a scope with write access. Every change happens after you confirm it in the chat. With a read-only scope the assistant changes nothing.
How do I disconnect an assistant?
In the app, go to Settings → AI Integrations and revoke access. The assistant's token is then invalidated and must be authorized again from scratch.
Does it work with assistants other than ChatGPT and Claude?
Yes. Any client that supports remote MCP over Streamable HTTP and OAuth works with the same URL — including OpenCode, Perplexity, Cursor and GitHub Copilot.
Where do I get the server URL?
The URL is always https://mcp.fitaily.com/mcp. In the app you will find it on the Settings → AI Integrations screen together with a copy button.
Fitaily MCP uses the public Fitaily API and does not store your data.
